    I can now report that the winds are set to turn to a more south-easterly direction in the next few days-daytime temperatures will rise into double figures -and it will still be dry with a bit more sunny stuffimage

    Spring may therefore start Monday/Tuesdayimage

    Geoff, it started today image  a huge skein of greylag geese (at least 100) flew over this morning heading for their breeding grounds up north image

  • I'm with you, Percy Grower - you really don't know whether to cut back now or wait "just in case." 

    Got some trellis for a pyracantha from a local nursery recently & was advised to wait until "maybe even April" before cutting it back & training it onto it.

    My secateur hand is twitching already........image
