  • Tis all very well this mild winter/spring weather but its confusing me and my plants, we have had a very mild winter for central Scotland and my clematis are starting to bud and new shoots are sprouting, the advice i recieved is cut my group 3's back in April because of my climate, if i wait till April they will have put on to much new growth to prune, if i prune them now sure as eggs is eggs we will get lots of snow and frost, last year we had frost first week in June, oh what to do prune now? or prune in April? any advice?...
