Ha ha Nanny, thank god you only mentioned number 1s and not number 2s....
in terms of Nitrogen , Potassium and Phosphorus N1s win hands down in content , but in organic carbon , N2s rule the roost.......did I really say that ..OMG
i live in pevensey bay (nr eastbourne) on the south east coast, i live right by the sea but everything seems to grow well in the salty air, the only thing that deteriorates in the salt air is my triumph stag
verdun dont be cheeky!!! I was on the letter page. There was a health article in the middle pages, saying "middle age" women should do "gentle" exercises, like gardening, walking and cycling. I wrote back, walking my dog to the top of the Downs is not gentle excercise, the previous day I had dug up the veg plot, planted 3 rows of spuds, up and down the garden filling pots and baskets, DEFINITELY not gentle, and cycling with the old man, I am 5 feet tall, and he goes really fast. Got a call back saying they would like to sent a photographer. Last year I won a weekend in a very nice Edinburgh Hotel for letter of the week in the MOS
I disagreed that cycling, walking, and gardening were gentle, it was saying how middle aged women could stop themselves having strokes or heart attacks. if you reach 3 score years and ten, middle age is 35, I am 64. My eldest daughter says I make HER feel old. I actually work nights on a hyper-acute stroke unit, so pretty much
know what causes them!!! If articles in papers get my goat, I write and tell what I think.Well, 1Runnyeabk1, I thought I looked like Ann Widdicome in the photo. There has been quite a few articles written recently, saying that gardening is being used as therapy, for mental and physical health problems. I think it should be it on the national Curriculum, along with basic cookery. When you read that kids dont know chips come from spuds! They do, dont they!!! Was out in the garden by 6 a.m. yesterday and today, watering, (filled up my water butts in the veg plot) watered my newly planted wildflower turf, weeded, dead headed roses and irises (though why she cant do her own Ill never know!) On annual leave and loving it. Mind we need some rain here

Be afraid! Be Very afraid!! Don't say I didn't warn you! My avatar will stay the same as I'm a great supporter of bats and their conservation.

Lol Steve! True that!
a friend of my daughter is a young journalist and wrote an article which prompted the Hate Mail to contact her asking if they could use it.
She replied saying she'd rather starve than have anything she'd ever produced published in a vile , hate filled rag like the Mail
Much respect.
