    Yep but even then you can relapse. At first you might experiment with the occasional hanging basket. Then you find yourself thinking, hmm, a few pots of herbs - why not? Before you know it, you're onto troughs, reclaimed tin baths, urns. An ornamental Versailles planter.

    Then one day you'll look down at your recently constructed timber raised bed, grab a fistful of John Innes in each hand and gesture at the sky, tears running down your face, screaming 'Why, God? Whyyyyy???'

    my advice is to dig out what you don't like.  I wish I could do it but I'm too soft by half!

    Charlie, I love your regeneration scheme! Could you please get a job at Ipswich town planners and start from there! And yup Westminster would make a lovely herbaceous boarder bed I always thought! image may need some round up for that bit tho! image
