-Controlling Aphid Infestation on Milkweed -A visit to the Ponca City YMCA Youth Garden, a 2015 Viewers' Garden Contest Winner -A tour of historical gardens on the OSU campus with former host Steve Dobbs -Barbara Brown prepares a summer corn salad
And I found a programme about the tricks the gardening industry plays on its customers. The programme compared bulbs from Aldi with ones from a specialist seller and they investigated how good, or bad, the information is which customers get about gardening in for instance DIY stores.
They also tested how much residue pesticides, and other chemicals we use in the garden, leave in the fruit and veggies we grow.
I've never noticed this thread before. How interesting! Thank you for posting these links - I can imagine I'll find some of them fascinating, though my German might be a bit stretched...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
We check out summer stressed trees, some gardens that are used for therapy, the giant pumpkin drop and weigh-off at Bauman Farms, Grafted vegetables at the Oregon Garden, a tip for using coffee grounds around your acid loving plants and a couple of orchid wanna-bes for your garden.
Still gorgeous weather here, but very cold nights, with even some frost!
It's Saturday again, and that means Gardening Australia.
This is what's in today's show.
A Host of Golden Daffodils: Jane checks out the latest flower project undertaken by the City of Melbourne - a mass-planted display of ninety-thousand daffodils in Fitzroy Gardens.
FAQs - Insect Cocoon ID | Oyster Shells | Lemons for Perth: Answers to frequently asked questions from emails, letters and Facebook.
Planting the Pond: Costa shows how to maintain a thriving pond and aquaponics system, cleaning out and replanting both with productive aquatic edibles.
Having it All: Tino shows how to get the most out of a small productive space, growing everything from capsicums and pepinos to lettuce and beetroot in a single bed.
Magnificent Magnolias: Sophie explores the stunning variety of this ancient group of plants, and shows that there's a variety to suit every garden no matter how much space you've got.
Viola's Patch: Jerry explores a beautiful garden that is a lush oasis with shady corners, perennial borders and a large collection of bromeliads.
And as always, the programme should be available here from around 12.00.

A somewhat misty autumn morning here.
A bit late today, because I couldn't find any new programmes on the web today.
Germany had a public holiday and aired special programmes for that, so less gardening there.
And nothing in English or French either, alas.
I'm sure I'll have more tomorrow.
Have a great Sunday!
