Silence, ça pousse ! looks at Sorghums, visits le château de Barberey, looks again at the effects of climate change, and helps someone in Toulouse with a garden problem.
A busy day for me today, because today Saint Nicholas will visit all the little and not so little children here in The Netherlands.
Together wiuth his companion Black Peter he will ride on his lovely white horse across the roof tops to bring presents to everyone.
And as usual I help him by baking lots of traditional treats which he will give to my friends.
Here is what I found on the web today though.
Grünzeug has been looking at herbs to keep you fit during the winter and at native plants for the garden. They also look at decorative containers for indoors and show how to prune a magnolia.
I hope that nobody on the forum is affected directly by those horrible floods.
How awful that it seems to hit parts of the UK every year.
My heart goes out to all the people who are affected.
So horrible, especially so close to Christmas.
I found a few few nice garden programmes on the web today.
RBB Gartenzeit shows what they think are English Christmas decorations.
They also look at hellebores, how to make garden containers out of concrete, colourful bird boxes, and they look at those red euphorbias which are all over the shops at the moment.
I also found a seasonal programme from PBS, and this is what's in it...
Get into the holiday spirit with Hoosiers across the state! Meet Santa’s reindeer, born and raised at Indiana’s Whitetail Acres Tree Farm! Learn how to decorate the world’s largest Christmas tree in downtown Indianapolis! Dry, but rather windy here at the moment. And still very mild.

The final link has nothing to do with gardening or plants, but I liked it so much I've decided to include it in today's post.
It's a link to the site of a German broadcaster and shows how to make an origami style nativity scene.
Every day they post information with which you can print and fold a new figure in the group, often complete with instruction video.
