No garden programmes on the web again today, as far as I could see.
Programmes like Jardins et Loisirs, Grünzeug, Querbeet, NDR Garten and RBB Gartenzeit aren't airing at the moment, alas, and no new episodes of the various programmes on the PBS site either.
SWR Service Zuhause has a clip about celebrating New Year's Eve in the garden. Items about fireworks, fire pits and fire baskets and plants which are supposed to bring good luck.
I wish you all a great New Year's Eve and a Very Happy New Year!
I'll add a link to a video which has nothing to do with gardening, but everything with New Year's Eve in Germany, and it's also quite popular here in The Netherlands.
It's very English, but has been shown on German national TV every year at New Year's Eve since 1963!
It's a little play about the 90th birthday of an English lady.
She celebrates her birthday every year with her 4 best friends, but unfortunately those friends all died long ago.
Her butler still has to play the same routine every year though...
I've seen the programme every year since 1963. First in black and white, and later the specially adapted coluored version, and I still find it very funny!
Just ignore the short introduction in German at the beginning if you don't understand German, because the play itself is in English.
The next regular episode is scheduled for tomorrow, so with a bit of luck that will be available on demand on Monday or so.
Grünzeug has already uploaded its latest episode.
They visited the butterfly garden at Schloss Sayn near Koblenz, looked at amazon lilies, built an insect hotel and visited the Prinzengarten Ettenheim.
Raining and still mild here, but freezing in the north of the country.
Winter seems to be creeping up on us here in The Netherlands, brrr
Only one gardening programme on the web today and that is Silence, ça Pousse .
They visited the potager on the roof of a department store in Paris, and an artist who makes things out of leaves, pine cones etc. And they visit a rather special garden project, called le Jardin des Cimes, and they help someone with a garden problem.

Goodmorning everyone,
It's official, we had the warmest Christmas here in The Netherlands since they started recording temperatures.
Yesterday it was almost 15 degrees!
Here is what I found on the web today.
If you're in the UK, you may like this programme from Welsh TV.
It's called Natur Nadolig Iolo and it's about plants and animals associated with Christmas. English subtitles should be available.

And Silence, ça pousse ! has uploaded its latest episode.
They wonder how you can eat well and look after the environment as well, They also visited a bamboo park and helped solve a garden problem.

Let's hope for more tomorrow...
Have a great day!
Good morning everyone,
Still very mild here in The Netherlands and nature seems to be getting rather confused by it.
I even saw a hawthorn in bloom, and heard that people have seen buterflies flying around and even hedgehogs seem to have come out of hibernation.
Bee keepers are getting worried because the bees are out and about as well, but there isn't much nectar around.
But back to the TV programmes on the web...
3SAT has a programme about New York's Central Park.
http://www.3sat.de/mediathek/?mode=play&obj=37385
They also have a programme about wildlife on patches of waste land in and around Vienna.
I'm sure I've seen that programme before though...

Good morning everyone,
The days are getting longer again. About 5 minutes more daylight already today!
And here is today's harvest from the web.
First a gardening programme from Maryland USA.
No idea if it's interesing, because I don't think I'd seen it before.
This episode is about the impact the warm weather we've been having recently has on the plants in our gardens.

Good morning everyone,
Final post of the year from me on this thread!
I keep thinking about all the poor people who had their homes and busineses flooded!
I really hope everyone here on the forum is safe and hasn't been affected too badly!
Hardly any gardening programmes on the web today.
All I could find was a clip from Kaffee oder Tee which deserves a prize for the most stupid idea to treat a plant I've ever seen!
