I hope that you all survived yesterday's horrible weather without too much damage.
Here is today's gardening harvest from the Web.
Oklahoma Gardening has been busy up-cycling all sorts of items to make useful things for the garden.
Here are the details...
-How to make garden markers from old silverware -Decorative Bird Feeders from Antique Light Fixtures -Repurposing Kitchen Items for Vertical Gardening Containers -Tips for Pruning Roses -A recipe for Caraway Cabbage
I also found an American programme about pollinators. From the same TV station as the Prairie Yard and Garden.
Compass explores the issue of Pollinators -- why they are important and how farmers can be rewarded for providing pollinator habitat. Pollinators are insects like bees, butterflies, beetles, ants and moths that help assist with the process of fertilization in plants.
Cold and wet here, but there is still a blackbird singing right outside my window at the moment.
Here is today's harvest from the web.
The Back Yard Farmer has the following...
This program features the garden as art with a tour of a wonderful home landscape, using boulders for a retaining wall, and a review of the Keim Hall courtyard renovation.
And one from MDR which looks into roses in bouquets. Which varieties are best, and are the ones from the supermarket as good as the ones from the florist?
Something rather weird is happening here at the moment. I live in the middle of town, but for the last week or so we've had a large flock of big black birds, probably jackdaws, which fly around just before dawn and again when it gets dark at night. They seem to roost somewhere nearby, and they are very noisy!

The Central Texas Gardener has this...
Create a hummingbird flight path to your garden with Mark Klym, coauthor of Hummingbirds of Texas. Hummingbirds head straight for native coralbean, Daphne’s Plant of the Week. On tour, designer Amy Voorhes magnified her tiny courtyard with stylish raised beds and drought tough plants that bring wildlife fingertip close. tiny courtyard.
Hello. I'm new here. Just wanted to check if anyone knows if my poinsettia has a disease or I'm doing sg wrong. The leaves started to fall, so I thought I put it under my growing light. It became beautiful with flowers and red leaves, but maybe it was too much it was also nearby a heater, so it was still falling. The green leaves curled, puffed and discoloured(red, yellow). See pics. Now I pruned(not too much)to encourage new shoots took off all disease leaves and put it away from heat and draft. Appreciate any help. 😊

Good morning Verdun,
I'm afraid that getting Gardening Australia to start broadcasting soon is beyond my powers.
Maybe Pat can give them a nudge though.
Horrible weather here at the moment. I hope the worst is over in Cornwall.
Have a good day!
Good morning everyone,
Absolutely horrible weather, and there is a flu epidemic here in the region as well.

They also show how to prume fruit trees, and tell where to find good tips for the garden.

And Jardins et Loisirs visited the Verger Municipale in Tourcoing, a garden near Andenne, and a plant clinic.
