I find quite a few fossils down here in the Cotswolds Edd, shells and marine creatures mainly, seems a bit weird as its about 1000 ft above sea level! Found a couple of Ammorites I put them in the garden with my alpine plants
Edd You're in the right place there. Visited much of that area with the Open University when they used to do Summer Schools. Still have some interesting stuff on my shelves. The fish and chips were always excellent as well
Wow you lot sound busy, my hobbies on and off are card making, digital scrapbooking, jewellery making, flower arranging, photography, searching family history, indexing will records and visiting old ruins, then . We have 2 dogs, 3 cats plus 2 of the neighbours cat's as they don't look after them, plus 2 rabbits, and my kids 2 boys and daughter but she has moved out now, oh yes and there is the husband.
In between work, the dog, the house chores, and the other half all of my hobbies are tucked in a box awaiting my breaking a leg or something!
Unfortunately whenever I pull out my stitch work or a good book the dog gets interested and if the dog isn't in the way his lordship complains about the mess or that I'm being grumpy (aka quiet because I'm concentrating).
Clari, I certainly didn't do nearly as much in the way of hobbies before I retired. With the hours you work, I'm not surprised you don't have time for much else!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I write Children's stories. Or at least I used to when my children were young and then when my grand children were. Now I have no target audience it is a lot harder to do it.

Pauline7 When you've finished the OS jigsaw see if you can find a geological map one of the same area
I enjoy gardening, taking cuttings and planting seeds, but decided to clear out the garage, That's when things got very silly.
What to do with catalytic converters, broken drills and an old bird cage, up cycle them, then they are put round the garden as art ?
Lorna, I'm inclined to agree that husbands do come into the "hobby" category!!
