Pauline, you must have loads of patience for the gig saws , and its not boring at all ,my oh loves his jig saws whe n he has chance, finds it a great way to unstress.where me I'd get stressed with it . I'm a toffee hammer and nailfile jigsawist myself.!
I like making anything from planters to birdhouses from old pallets, i love making anything really from things people throw away. I do a bit of web site testing and a bit of mystery shopping via my phone which can be fun. i have fits and starts in hobbies, sewing (i'm very lazy and don't do any pinning or tacking just machine it hehe) reading books, I do a lot of cooking and make special occasion cakes for family birthdays, I enjoy music festivals, going away in our motorhome, jam etc making
Well Mike, my hobby becomes my lifestyle when it takes over and this is a sign too:: when husband comes in at dinner and there is nothing like a meal ,but at least I have another part done in rough for my journal. That's it for me, also when I can't sleep for putting together the next bit (in .my head.)first things first
I'm a bit of a crossword junkie too Gina, and am also in the "glass of wine" group.
Other than that I spend a lot of time visiting and studying medieval churches (for the history rather than the religion), researching my family history, and transcribing old wills and other documents for our local archive office. On a completely different tack I have just bought a new bike and am joining OH on local cycle rides. Did 30 miles round part of the Norfolk Broads last week - easy peasy cycling, visited 3 churches and found a really good pub at Neatisead - good day out!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

So Edd, where do you consider a right place for fossil hunting?
I'm an amateur astronomer when the Sun goes down and enjoy taking images of the universe.
I take nature photos, some published, do cross country running, restore furniture from the sixties, and record fungi.
