Forgot to put any text in above! We went to Bressingham Gardens when we were in Suffolk last week. They were fabulous. The original "Dell" garden with big island beds, colourful, and the "Foggy Bottom" garden which had a lot of structure with conifers.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Gorgeous pics Lizzie. Bet you've got loads more you could show us. Fidget the otter tree is wonderful and also love the varies. When donyounthink you'll get your dandelion sculpture?.
Lovely pics from you too Wonky. Makes me want to move south
the wire fairies are made by Fantasy Wire. I have been trying to get one for ages but he is always soooo busy. There is a Facebook Page. I would adore one.

I love those fairies too Lily, I bet they cost a lot to commission. I've noticed he works a lot with Staffs Wildlife Trust (I used to work there). I must admit I have the perfect spot for one of those Dandelions. Mmm

We liked the Piet Oudolf planting, especially the Knautia macedonica and grasses.
The more formal beds were planted with a repeating theme. They looked like nothing was there in March when we visited, the growth rate is fantastic.
I must have this blue eryngium.
I don't know whether this will show up, but a previously wooded area had been seeded with an annual mix.
It was a bit patchy but pretty anyway.
Those sculptures are incredibly, the dandelion one is a masterpiece
Thanks for the pictures everyone
The dandelion ones are amazing, they look so light and floaty, but I like the otter one, I love otters.

But it takes time and we are just off to Brighton. I haven't shown you the Beth Chatto ones yet.
