Hi John and welcome to what must be the very nicest of computer contact sites. I am in Essex not far from London. Unfortunately I am what is known as a technophobe! or, a silver surfer who is always falling off the surfboard so no photos I'm afraid! Like you spent the last year in the same state so sympathy there. When you are laid up this site is brilliant and,you are never too old to pick up new things.I have been gardening for over 50 years and learn something new whenever I log on.Envious of your "girls" keep the photos coming. All the best.

Wow those pics are amazing busy lizzie. Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. Internet wasn't working well. We had three days of nice weather here and all the snow has melted. was 15C yesterday, so amazing! especially for this time of year. Today though it's sitting at 0C. supposed to be around 3C all week.

Oh man those old buildings are crazy beautiful. I definitely have to visit there someday. Started my watermelon seeds this week, they've all popped up now and I'm about to start the rest of my seeds, bring on the summer!

Hi JohnGreen I'm from Northwest England near Manchester. I've got to say it looks gorgeous where you live I'm so jealous image

  • hi there and welcome!

Im in the middle of England,  here where spring does not seem to want to take a chance and appear.

I don't have a greenhouse so my kitchen serves as one right now, but I do have a lovely greenhouse.

great to hear from gardeners from far away!

I don't have a greenhouse either so my bedroom now has a kitchen table in it covered with freshly seeded containers. I need more room though! I've been thinking about building a greenhouse, how much of a temperature difference can you get inside a greenhouse anyways?

If it isn't heated there isn't much difference at night. When the sun shines it can get quite hot. I have a little heater which raises the temp about 4° higher than outside and keeps it frost free, but I don't put it on or use the GH until March.
