The sun has put his hat firmly back in the wardrobe today!  Grey day.

Bright sun again but -6C and an easterly wind that has dried everything up so while it's glacial out there, it's not icy as there's no moisture except where there are bits of snow left.

No gardening as the soil is frozen and that wind just bites.

Like Victoria I'm in the NE about 8 miles inland front the North Sea. Lovely day light cloud, very still about 5 C. Unfortunately can't get into garden today...starting to feel like spring the birds look very bright and cheerful I suspect some early courting happening.

Just seen my first ladybird of the year sunbathing on the grapevine - and it's a native one too image

Just seen my first butterfly, a small tortoise shell, still no frog spawn.

Warm and sunny a really lovely day for the time of year.  Lots of perennials showing and bulbs flowering.

My part of Kent is glorious, buds popping all over the place, roses have first leaves in the most sheltered parts and large Acer is blushing early. Warm with no wind

And for the past hour I've had the company of a robin, busy rootling around where I've been digging, getting little grubs and insects from virtually under my feet - then I sat on the bench for a rest and he almost sat on my head image
