Great containers from Busy-Lizzie, hope the rain cheers up your garden...love chicky's bank with the cosmos, geranium and pink rose...mega hydrangeas from Lyn, my fave is the multicolour purple
I think Wendy's plant is Cynoglossum Amabile, any offers?
Some from my garden today (pre-weeding):
1st of the glads
A couple of the sunflowers sent by Soulboy on the seed swap - thank you
Lovely pics Vic Sponge - so much colour - I must get some different scabious for this point in the season.
Thank you for ID'ing Wendy's plant - I think you are correct - the Chinese Forget-me-not. It's a member of the borage family which grows very well in my garden so I might have to give it a try - it's a beautiful shade of blue.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I've got a few different scabious Topbird, but I cant keep the fancy ones out through a winter That blue one is hard as nails though.
Lyn, the purple plant in the 3rd pic is Lythrum (virgatum?) Dropmore Purple, one of my favourite plants in the garden. Honey bees love it and it turns a red colour in the autumn.
I was going to put a pic on of my new emerald lawn but after seeing BL's parched grass I felt guilty. Hope you get the promised rain and it springs up again Lizzie
Lots of great pix here again. Will have a proper look later to catch up with them all. Plants here have been very slow with the cold weather. My Ligularia is only just starting to open in one bud, normally in flower in mid July. Thankful for the grasses and foliage plants
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
