Ahaaa it becomes clearer. Behind the bench on the other side of the fence are various conifers. To the left of the bench is a very mature Wisteria, (hence thick trunk), growing up into the conifers.
HAHA!!! Nope nobody. Do you mean in my pfrofile pic? That is my jokey photo that I iuse for a profile pic generally. I don't really look like that generally
Paulypaul, thanks for your kind comments,re;garden......have just watched your videos of front and back gardens......the back garden seems very large, but has lots of interesting areas.....we have gardened here for 15 years and slowly changed it.....infact we are still doing it.Love this garden thread.....you learn loads from observing others, don't you think?
Hi Paulypaul, the grass like foliage that comes through in the autumn is probably grape hyacinth, it hangs around like a mat until the spring when the blue flowerheads emerge. English blluebells are only just emerging through the soil now and disappear underground after flowering May time. Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick. When I moved in my current house I was sure I had got loads of bluebells in the front garden but they were grape hyacinths. Videos are great by the way.
Love the shrubs meadowland, the right planting makes a garden look fab all year round.
What fab photos everyone. Hellebores are just wonderful and easy to split and move around the garden, they are very easy and beautiful addition to any winter garden. Keep pictures coming - I will put some on when I work out how to do it - glad gardening is not so complicated.
