Fairygirl, sorry I missed your first question, I changed the clematis in the planter from Nelly Moser to another Dr Ruppell. I reckon they prefer to be in the ground instead of a planter, but I'll give it another chance next year with extra manure etc.
Chicky and Lyn that verbadcum is gorgeous I was sent the seed by a friend in the spring all the others plants flowered a couple of months ago but this one hung on till now it has huge basal leaves Lyn!
Victoria I spotted the foxglove at a local nursery its supposed to be a perennial and flowers for 4-5 months ! Didn't think it'd flower till spring but as you say so many things are flowering strangely.
I love your campanula stunning and that hollyhocks lovely , you still have so much colour
Victoria, dont think thwt's Hadspen Blood......HB is very dark. Nice pictures though.
No, I don't think it is either...but I can't account for it and I'm missing a HB...I must have got mixed up somewhere along the line, I do have a lot of plants
Thanks snow. I'm a big fan of Cuprinol paints, especially their Heritage range. Old English Green is a nice shade, certainly better than the standard Ground Force green.
RB - I think you'll find the pansies are planted underneath the narcissus....
Gorgeous pix Kathy. Great to still have so much colour when the Mahonias are coming into flower too! I love Fuchsia Hawkshead - don't like the usual bright, half hardy ones , but that's one I've always admired. Should have got it for my shady border
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Gosh, what a lot of colour some of you still have. I've had 3 frosts and down to -4°. A lot, including dahlias, needs cutting down and tidying up, but I haven't had time yet.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
