I'm with you all the way tootles - we need a bit of encouragement at this time of year, and some of your stuff is bound to grow on - what is it they say? "better to travel hopefully..."
the only difference for me is that my seed trays are not heated....still makes your heart glow to see new life appearing...
The trick is to sow things that need a long time to grow. Little seeds are often good as they have a lot of leeway to make up, so begonia, lobelia, antirrhinum, petunia, streptocarpus. Or sow big seeds that can cope outside quite early on, like sweetpeas or broad beans, providing you can give them some shelter, like a cold frame or cloche. Half hardies are just the wrong things to start with this early!
I have a propagator of sorts veg tray from behind the take away, pots from cottage cheese neatly lined up in their marketing trays, glass sheet over the top that I took from fridges on the roadside.
You'd better be careful about how much electricity you use when powering up your computer then Frank! Don't tell me - you have your own wind turbine? You've invested in kinetic plates? Maybe some photovoltaic panels? You don't eat meat because go the methane issues? You only wear trousers made from grass? You've never eaten anything purchased from a supermarket? You travel by horse and cart?

Knack? Hahaha, I'm not giving money to energy companies unnecessarily or to hobby shops. You do realise plants, seeds and soil are free?

love the youtube Frank!
I'm sure most of us make use of plastic food trays, clear bottles and a bit of clingfilm - or is it just my "make do and mend" mentality?
