Wow! Some of you got out in the garden! I'm jealous! You must have had better weather than here in Notts. Been wazzing it down nearly all day here. Took a squelch up the garden and came back in quickly as there was a hole in my garden shoe which, to quote the song, was letting in water!! Hopefully it will be better at the weekend! Need to battle the willow herb
Was supposed to crack on with landscaping the final area of the garden, instead I got on with attaching sturdy plastic mesh (the expensive kind) to last bit of pergola and then under climbing rose where two clematis will grow either side. Then did round a post for third clematis, and used long lengths along the fence panels where I want it to grow.
Then I added some to other side where Clematis Montana is growing, finally using the spare piece to cover another fence panel opposite for the fifth Clematis of the day. That one was a bit of a mare since I had to squeeze between the fencing and a very mature ceanothus. Used a total of five rolls of mesh so far, one left for bottom part.
Tied in a sixth Clematis while I was there and finally rescued a fern being bashed by my pooch who patrols the footpath side of my garden with lightening speed.
Pruned my honeysuckle, potted up an astible (spl) or two, built a number of seedling pots out of the newspaper (all it's good for) to pot on kind grandma's seed present to me and now ............ I'm being drowned And I'm afraid I may be swept away down river ...."......"........ At least I have a glass of red to keep me company e'eh
