All major suppliers seeds are good and you should get a decent germination from them i like Fothergill as if you order small seed they come in a small tube half fill with dry sand give it a shake makes sowing much easier image wish T&M Suttons etc would take head as there seed come in pkts

    You're right Wills.

It's us odd plant growers that need the others.

There are some paeonies out there Wills, some of my own and some that other forum members sent me. Some roscoea,

I'm completely obsessed with growing from seed, I sow seeds from plants in the garden that are easily divided and are species so would come true.

I've got some just arrived to sow tomorrow, two species of cotoneaster.

That reminds me. there are already two other species of cotoneaster out there and some species roses, I was given hips, no idea what they are.

great hope they do well image i love growing from seed although i buy hi brids as they tend to be more disease hardy . although i have had to buy Begonia plug plants as i have sown seeds but i am led to believe that these are hard to grow and i am not sure if they will germinate .

My seeds from Mr fothergills came today and one pack like you said Wills came in a small tube not had it like that from them before

only the sweetcorn came with a pic so I will be cutting pics out of the seed catalogue and putting them onto the packs

So Suttons and Mr Fothergills have been good before and still are good companies to get seeds from

I would never buy plants from T&M again. Even when their plants are OK their customer service is dreadful. But they offer a wide range of seeds and there is no problem ordering these.

Thanks for all the recommendations. Have gone for Chiltern. Good price and great variety.
