Having been one of the participants in Mr. Fothergill Seeds Nation of Gardeners Trials for 16 months now I can vouch for the quality of their seeds, bulbs and plants and seed potatoes.  And their packaging is first class.  The plants especially never look as if they have even been in the post.  The new varieties they are advertising have had trials by us up and down the country so what works best in where you happen to live can be put in the script.

Hayloft are great for plants god size and quality

I get seeds from Mr fothergills ordered today 5th pack of seeds free, Suttons ordered some seeds last week from them, Dobies are good about the same as Suttons

T&M seeds normally come with no picture on have ordered from them in the past - some times I cut the pic out of the catalogue and stick on the pack, plants small but you grow them on good value offers

Grow sure do coloured coated seeds for help with sowing think from Hillers and may be online

Jersey plants seeds come with plan seed packs as well but very fine seeds come in little plastic tubes in packs

going to try kings as well this year and Sarah raven

Has anyone tried Woolmans? They look like good value for money but I've not tried them yet myself.

Woolmans, D T Brown & Johnsons seeds are all owned by Mr Fothergills. So they should be OK.

Hi gg, have a look through the site. Have a look and see if you have a local group. Talks are arranged, trips and plant sales. You can go along as a visitor to see if you like it.

  • I've ordered seeds from Marshalls for years and always had good results. They've been part of Unwins for a while but not sure if the seed they sell is the same if it's branded Unwins. I've also used DTBrown, mainly to top up on things I forgot of ran out of, because they had free postage for a while.
