Verdun, you sound like a male Carol Klein! Who I like. Passionate is a good thing and clumsy would add a touch of humour. Made for the job!

Oops, forgot you don't care for Carol Klein!image

I  know md  has more than 4 wheelbarrows, dand more than 10 pairs of Felco sectueurs, and he has a dog called Nigel, but I'd rather see gardening

I would have to go for Meat Loaf and Bonnie Tyler out of that lot.

BTW, how old do you have to be, to be classed as antique?

  • Before this thread vanishes into oblivion, I would just say that there is another thread running in the Potting Shed entitled 'Monty Don Tour'...and although I've only skim read it, it seems to be a sell-out....and this is one of the concerns I have about Mr Don.

Given these tours and TV work, I would think more of him if he were honest and not try to pretend that his pristine, large garden was as a result of his own efforts and let us know who does the real work at Longmeadow... after all, it was in a pretty run down state when GW was first broadcast from there.

I thought he did have help in his garden. Why has it gone into italics? I've clicked on the italics icon, wonder if that will change it.

David - MD has acknowledged publically and in print that he now has help at Longmeadow image

There's definitely something up with the formatting on this thread - if we point it out to Daniel I expect the quickest and easiest way to resolve it  will be to remove or lock the thread - and of course given the subject of the thread that is likely to be misinterpreted image
