Brilliantly said Chicky, although I cannot agree with Duran Duran and Spandau. Try changing to the Clash and the Jam, and we would be getting somewhere.

I find myself constantly re- reading The Ivington Diaries, which I just love, almost poetry.

Oddly enough I didn't have a garden either when GH was on telly, only had things I grew in pots or window boxes and house plants. Back then I lived in a small flat in London. image I realised watching GH again that I must have been picking up loads of tips because there were lots of things I was doing when I got the garden that I had totally forgotten where the ideas came from. image

  • Although I hold GH in as much high regard as everyone.... (predating him) Arthur Billitt was my own GH.

i dont watch much gardeners world as Monty & Carol are okay but bit boring i tend to watch Beech Grove more as they they take in to account the novice through to the experienced gardener and they are not afraid to experiment with various systems and give there opinion on what works and what dosent work image

  • I agree it's time for a complete change.... to someone new to the telly. A pair of new male presenters......how about it Verd?  image
