Before bed id like to wish HMarion a great day tomorrow. Your garden is Wonderful. .Sorry not been on as just back after a few days to Scotlland and catching up with threads After checking/watering garden.
Thank you everybody, Weather looks good Change is coming but not till this evening. Got to make loads of fruit scones now. WillDB This open day is for a Ladies church club but If I have another in August for the Alpine Garden society group I will certainly pm you as it is mixed both in sex and age! Have a busy July coming up so will see how much time I have.
Ladies and one male driver all gone home now after a brilliant afternoon. It did go a bit cloudy and cold for the last half hour so I squashed them all into my study and showed them pics on my laptop from the Botanic garden. They went home happy with pics on their cameras and a bunch of flowers to arrange when they got home. And was I grateful that the forecast was right. I did not have time to do any watering today so the rain we are promised for tonight will be very welcome. Now to get all the cushions in so they do not get wet.
Glad you had a good day Marion . Your pics look lovely as always! My purple rhodedendron is in flower at the mo and my other one isn't that far off. We bought them in Aldi two years ago but missed them flowering last year because we were away, so this is the first time we have seen them in all their glory
We have slowly been eating fresh strawberries since the weekend, one a day so far, but my goodness, the taste is absolutely divine! We kept one of the plants in the greenhouse and it has certainly paid off
Mu.ch cooler today but sunny and forecast says dry. Pruning is on the ards as the forsythia and the flowering currant are both finished flowering and need a trim and the Japanese quince in the front garden. The wheeliebin is already full up so will have to stack the prunings till Friday. A few large branches cut up small could go in the compost bins up the garden.
