    ..I haven't got the time...and there's something about it that I find personally offputting.. I wouldn't want my husband to be the type to haggle...it would be beneath us and we would rather walk away from buying a product than argue over the cost...

    ..however, there is one and that's the price asked for a house...but we make an 'offer' and if that's not accepted then I am a firm believer in standing one's ground...sellers usually start to get a bit desperate after they've not heard from you, for a short time...

  • Nothing wrong with this, but there are some items that it more accepted to haggle over, houses, cars, insurance, phones, etc. I always haggle on these, and like Mike Brewer on Wheeler Dealers, I always knock em down on a car that needs some TLC and sell high and stick to my guns on selling a car in great condition that's all been sorted.

    I don't haggle over stuff that's more 'this is the price, take it leave it', though you could with a fair load of places. And I always look around for the best prices.

  • I haggle sky, insurance companies and electrical shops. I haggled to get money off our spin dryer and it worked image nothing wrong in haggling.
