    I'm ashamed to admit to a pastry tantrum once when the stupid stuff just kept cracking as I was rolling it & sticking to everything in spite of dusting with flour etc etc

    There was a stamped foot, a lip you could wedge a penny on - all rounded off with a lump of pastry being hurled at the wall - where it stuck fast for several seconds. At which point hubby roared with laughter which didn't exactly help the situation!

    He then proceeded to unpick it from the tiles & roll it out perfectly - how? - why? - is a mystery to me. So I don't make apple pie either - which does not make me popular. Make a mean apple crumble & decent scones though!!
    Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    my wife is going to an early Christmas Do today , she is borrowing my new Christmas Jumper ( has a reinder on the front ) as it is national curry week is taking some curred chicken pieces , very tasty

    I buy ready rolled puff pastry for my mince pies. Don't like shortcrust ones!
