Absolutely the right approach Artjak - it's the only way. It also works with children - consistent boundaries that is - not spraying with water - although it did get my teenage son out of bed on a school day
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Don't tempt me dove! Teenager still in bed, have reminded him twice he has a collage trip so needs to be early. Wonder if he wants to skive off? right off to find the plant sprayer....
I make my mincepies, they seem to disappear with great rapidity. The mincemeat is already made along with the cakes and puddings which go to various neighbours and family. I don't do much else in the way of Christmas shopping apart from the odd quirky thing which I think will suit someone. My four grandsons all get cash, or their parents do for the two youngest. My offspring have high incomes but I have time and while they can and do cook, (a touch of Verdun here), my Christmas cakes etc have a reputation beyond the family.
Ditto Topbird I usually buy them. I read the magazines that have taste tested and scored them and then buy a pack of the top two or three to make sure the ones I get for Christmas are the nicest Not started yet though.
My next job is to start on Christmas fruits. Well - marzipan fruits which I give to some aunties as presents. The ones in the shops are tiny and cost a fortune. You can get two bites out of mine. Umm wonder how I got big
