  • Sorry about that, horseygirl.....I'm perhaps not as keen as I used to be, but I still dig about 18 inches deep & break-up the subsoil for mine.

    Butlers sink? Save that for the sempervivums. image

    Yeah I know, nice idea, bad mistake. Still got about 30 others all over the garden. In beds, in big pots. All is not lost.

    Hello Everyone just an update on my sweetpeas after i thought they weren't doing very clever but David assured me they were ok and he was right after nipping out some of the tendrils they have gone HAYWIRE and starting to flower YES!!!!

  • Well done, Baz......hope you don't mind me saying, but given the depth of soil in those containers, you'll need to be feeding & watering them constantly over the coming weeks.

    I see from your profile that you are fairly new to gardening, this would no doubt account for your being a tad over enthusiastic. I would take deep breaths & keep a lid on that enthusiasm.....just enjoy your garden. image 

    There are many experienced, old hands on this forum who are very generous with their help.
