Was there something you needed to know, rosemummy? image

  • I think I've shown appreciation for all your advice before David and commented on Lizzie's garden efforts on another thread the other day.  I haven't been round much at all recently and have only been popping by when I can........sorry if that seems rude, your advice has always been very much appreciated. • Bless you, OL......not a clue why you should feel the need to say sorry.  xx

Sorry to hear your SPs are not so good this year....hopefully they will pick up.

Just having a quick nosey...can't believe the sweetpeas pics on here...they are amazing! ...mine are 6 inches and sickly looking, tho' well watered etc.. its the first time I have bought them but I didn't have room to grow from seed since I've no greenhouse yet and the conservatory only just built and spare sunny bedroom was full of plug plants!

I love the white strong smelling ones and normally only grow them.

These may appeal to you, debs.....the variety is 'Windsor'.

Thank you for that résumé, Edd.

The pink one was 'Gwendoline', btw.

  • Just had a quick mooch around the garden, they seem to have grown a teensy weensy bit and don't look as yellow......fingers crossed image

Your reparation is so much appreciated. Thanks.

'Reparation' = 'the action of making amends for a wrong one has done'.......am I missing something?  image

David hope I've said thanks before, my autumn ones are doing brilliantly and I would never have sown Gil spring if it hand 'the been for your advice, some of my spring ones are healthy looking but really small, think again some other plants shading them as t pesky geraniums for instance shot up to 2 foot tall in about a week grrr... Lots of plans to move things about come autumn!

  • Hi, rosemummy

I'm really chuffed to hear your autumn SPs have done well.

As regards 'saying thanks', I'm rather puzzled. I did say some time ago that if anyone asked a question to me directly and I had taken the trouble to reply, an acknowledgement of that reply would be appreciated. Now the matter seems to have been resurrected again and is getting slightly overcooked.
