I am bored! Have had surgery on my right index finger so am really handicapped at doing anything. I have to have it in a splint for 6 weeks! Right into the seed sowing time, but I guess everything will catch up eventually. The surgeon was adamant, no gardening until he gives me the all clear.
What a waste of a glorious day, sitting indoors doing nothing.
Oh my goodness, Joyce, six weeks of no gardening! That's drastic! Still. suppose better now than later, because later there is SO much going on. Want to swop with me, I am left-handed?
Just had another thought - how do you work your computer mouse? I had to train my right hand to do it, and it is now much more proficient at it than my left.
What a nuisance for you Joyce. Do as you're told and you'll have lots of fun with seeds and plants when the weather is warmer. Hope you're not in too much pain with it.
I have not been able to use my finger properly for months so have been getting used to using my middle finger instead but it is sooooo slow! The main problem is keeping the huge bandaged finger out of the way. I have already dabbled it in cups of tea etc. My writing when using a pen looks like a drunken spider has crawled around on the paper.
Not too much pain now, as long as I do not catch it when dressing. Stitches out on Wed. so should feel more comfortable.
With one thing and another it was almost may before i got started last year and with the exception of one or two of the cucumber family, everything caught up or was just a little late, so i know its frustrating, but theres plenty of time
Joyce pleased to hear you no longer have too much pain Just an idea but how about cutting the finger out of a pair of clean oversized garden gloves and tape it on to waterproof your bandage or the thumb from large Marigolds. Best wishes KEF.
Counted up today and taking 16 tablets aday at the moment - 2 are herbal htough.
Hospital did a swab and found nasties so am taking 2 lots of antibiotics to kill the lot. Must admit feel a bit better today but mostly am totally zonked out and have a job to just walk from one room to other in house. Should be over by next week as on Friday I was finally showing signs of healing
