I just hang them from one of the tree branches Liri (they are small trees, about 5 years old - I am hoping that as they get bigger and more prolific there'll be enough for us and the squirrels to share). I use smelly soap at the moment, and have not noticed that the fruit tastes of it - i guess there's a lot of fresh air out there for it to diffuse to

How close to the fruit do the smelly things need to be, Chicky? Don't really fancy Victoria plums tasting of camphor...

Ouillins gage when ripe must look similar to walnuts so the cheeky thieves are grey with long fluffy tails and sharp claws
i saw them do this last year and this year I have picked the lot myself
