The roads were a big concern for me personally - hate driving through lots of spray etc and, as I said before, our local roads were flooded yesterday

Sorry to hear your events have been cancelled too Artjak & Nut - we'll all look a bit daft if it's blazing sunshine tomorrow won't we? - somehow I dont think it will be...

Doesn't look like blazing sunshine here this morning.

Nut, that NGS garden might be a possibility for OH and me - the evening before is BIL's Big Birthday Bash somewhere near you (at a rowing club?) so a quiet saunter around a garden might be just the ticket - I'll consult the oracle image

    Sounds good Dove.

Just looked at the met office website. Radar images are bright and very close.

    It's gonna rain

Been raining here for a while - good rain (ie enough to water properly but not so hard it's knocking all the flowers off).

Happy we made the right decision for today - will find something nice to do indoors instead (ie NOT h**s*w**k !)

Very heavy rain here in Sussex, quite windy and thunder and lightning image

what a shame you had to cancel, but hopefully you can rearrange a day very soon.

Torrential rain, thunder & lightning here too  image  Not fun to drive in - I just drove down to the supermarket in the village, 10 mph max, lights on, wipers on fast and I still couldn't really see where I was going image

    Same here....

Garage is flooded AGAIN!!  image (Fortunately nothing on the floor that can be damaged)

Think we will be spending tomorrow clearing the drain on the road so it doesn't all tip down our driveway - pole spades ordered from Screwfix for the job.

Very soggy here, had loads of thunder earlier, but it is warm, so it's better than a slap round the face with a dead mackerelimage
