    You're getting there Steve image

  • Pond progress continues, now digging planting pockets in the area of cleared turf. I ache again!

We dug an 8ft long pond in our last house as my husband keeps koi carp. What a tough job that was, so I can sympathise Steve J.

When we moved to our new place, husband decided a pond upgrade was needed. He explained that a 20ft long pond would be better this time, and I said fine, but do not expect me to dig it! Luckily, we had diggers in this time, and decided to have raised walls too, although in hindsight I would of preferred a ground level one again.

    Good luck with your pond.

  • My pond is rather more dinky than that...

I would give anything for a more 'dinky' pond SteveJ!!!  haha, your post made me giggle. It looks great already, and I am jealous you get to have lovely marginals etc.

Just thought I'd update people on my progress! My first foray into the world of edging on dry mix! Dragonflies seen to be laying in the pond...

    Well done, its looking great.

  • The lysmachia are in places where the pond will overflow if it rains to keep their roots damp plus they are trailing into the pond to give egress to beasties!
