Bekkie, when I joined the army the front was men only, over the years the women got closer to the front and now will be allowed to fight as they do in many other armies.

Some women will some will not as some men choose not to fight that is our own choice. I saw men go through the process refusing to fight it was hard and painful for them. Front lines are anything but glamorous or heroic and most who see it become pacifists, jaw not war is the only way.

    Frank.

I dont like conflict of any sort, but i accept that it happens and may well be necessary.

From what i have experienced, in general, guys are more likely to fight, maybe that is a caveman thing again! image

I have nothing but admiration for service personel and emergency services, whichever sex they are image

Just to add a couple of comments.

Why cant men ever find anything and why are they incapable of putting anything away or is it just my other half!

When my daughter started dating her boyfriend he called me up to say that his mom had gone shopping and he and his dad were hungry.  He wanted to know if you boiled an egg with the shell on or off - I kid you not!!!!

Yvie - if they open a drawer and the item they want doesn't jump out into their hands, they have to call for help....imageimage

I can believe you about the eggs - but some girls are just as incapable. My  girls have been able to make themselves lunches and basic dinners since they were quite young. I think it's up to parents to teach them and - more importantly- allow them to do,  it but they're frightened they burn the house down! image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Yvie, I know a girl that tried cooking dried pasta by frying it in a frying pan uncooked!!  She was 16 at the time, even my then 11 year old boy knew how to cook pasta.....I couldn't believe her mum told everyone, I would have been so embarrassed!! image

I agree in the finding anything issue, if it doesn't jump out ask mum/wife!! I was trying to tell my youngest the other day how to multi task so he could talk and dry up at the same time, every time he talks he stops what he is doing and jobs take forever!!
