Brown Eyed Girl, I love these because they flower all summer if you keep deadheading them....you can see the new flowers on either side of the open one
Giant Yellow, about 6' tall and finishing now as some of the petals are falling off
Love the piccs and I must admit I do like the white ones. I have bought sunflower seeds for the first time so hopefully I can post some piccs next year. I have bought Black Magic and Vanilla Ice. The seeds are Fothergill's. Any advice to get the best out of them would be more than welcome.
Here are mine yesterday! I'm guessing they like to be root bound? My container ones are taller than my in the grounds, and have less sun! Had to cut the head off my tallest one as the weight of it was breaking the stem.
sorry no pics yet, but 2 of my 4 sunflowers are flowering. In Norfolk, we have had severe wind and still they sway and smile! Yellow stems and leaves but still good sunflowers.

Still no sign of ours opening, but it keeps getting taller and taller!
(It was 208cms/6.8ft about ten minutes ago)
This was taken this morning, a busy bee on my sunflower
This one just looked so bright and sunny
OL, love those shoes and Angela, thank you for showing the Italian White sunflower.

I can highly recommend those - grew them a few years back and they produced a stunning display - very floriferous!
