Thank you Chicky, it is beautiful and gets several flowers from now until August/September.  The seeds were free from a gardening mag a few years ago and these are the last of them, they were out of date and the flowers are smaller than in previous years so that could be why. I will need to save the seeds to try and keep them going as I can't find them anywhere.

Another Velvet Queen, as you can see Karools the sun is behind it and it's still facing forward so don't worry too much about yours image

Bumped for Loganberry and also to say, I think I've ID'd a couple of the sunflowers wrong.  The Velvet Queen and Black Magic look very similar, but I think the Black Magic have darker stems and I only have 3 Velvet Queen, so they can't all be Velvet Queen, but the flowers look very similar.  The last one I posted was Black Magic image

  • Thanks orchid!

Don't know how I missed this!

    Here are my babies lol

Mongolian giants- I have 2 of these in the front garden which were attacked hard by slugs when they were smaller- still growing well, but nowhere near as well as the 2 in a pot in the back garden (which gets less sun!) these pics were taken last week, I swear they are a foot taller now- just had to secure them to my drainpipe!

The smaller teddy bear sunflowers are also doing well, I love that they are multiheads!
