This one is in a pot, I have them on each side if my back door, and looks like it will be open anytime I think it's Brown Eyed Girl so can't wait to see it.
The sunflowers which the slugs etc didnt get, are also nowhere near floweitng stage, but they seem to be growing without any thing eating them. What a beautiful sunflower. I thought they were all yellow, hence the name.
Karools, I used to think that too so you're not alone, it was only when I stated growing them that I realised it must be because of the way they grow. Although, saying that I have a row of them on my back hedge of a south facing garden and so far they are still facing the house, but haven't flowered yet
Thank you. I am a real rookie when it comes to English gardening. It is so very different to my home country of South Africa, but theres probably sunflowers there too, that I am not aware of.Good we have this forum to learn from each other, hey?
