Anyone got any helpful advice???
pansyface's advice meant that your vine is struggling for space in it's pot and should really be in the ground or a much bigger pot. They are however very rampant growers. No offence meant.
Pansyface is spot on, they are rampant climbers,
looking like i may need to remove it from its pot then, its 30cm tall by 36cm wide IM NOT STUPID I KNEW THEY GREW "SO CALLED" FAST AND WAS VIGOUROUS I DID MY RESEARCH BEFORE HAND BUT DIDNT SEE ANYTHING REGARDING IT NOT GROWING WELL??? it cant go in a bigger pot as its located near a shed and archway the current pot is the right size for the location looks like im up shit creek
wanted something fast growing with flowers i got a twisted stem with tiny leaves its crap!"
oh and i cant put it in the ground where the pot is as its flagged over
had various climbers in the same position over years and none seem to have done well in this position thats why i thought the russian vine would grow quick and would cover the arch im mystified had clematis & lonicera japoinica the later was ok for 1 st season then had nothing the following year so removed it the planting area is more or less shaded for a lot of the day if this can help with what i could plant there?
i have two pots on both sides of arch the otherside seems to be doing well but i dont know what its called its a climber but has thorns on the stems (its not roses) the leaves are a shiny green
the arch is north facing!
None of the fast growing climbers like to be restricted to pots really.
If you have had it for 3 years it should be miles long and covering house shed, walls etc
It grows in any aspect so I wouldnt think the position has anything to due with its lack of growth.
