whether or not it's a weed depends who you ask Debs, I added a link to my previous post.

It's lovely but you've found its downside.

Weeding or weedkillers but I think it infiltrates which makes it difficult

  • ive just googled t an apparently its an orange scented perennial.....doesnt say it takes over ya dam garden.....  the garden was terribly overgrown wen i moved in last year its taken a year to fix it all up  so this 'plant' has been allowed to run riot it cums up thru paving and evrywhere wether there are other plants around or not   even thru hard plants like rose bushes...conifers....it isnt fussy...it is very pretty wen it flowers but runs amok xx  am sopleased youve identified it for me ive been searchin for months xxx

This forum rarely fails to ID a plant eventually but we're not so good at getting rid of some of them.

I found some of this today after I'd hacked my way through blackthorn and alder suckers, got OH to take the Allen scythe through some long grass, pulled off loads of goose grass and ivy and there it was, looking very cheerful. Anything else would have been dead.

It loves a bit of moist soil and it's had that for about a year now. It will have been under water twice.
