    Came across this thread earlier.  Fascinating.  My contribution is a couple of the flowers on my Argyranthemum Jamaica Primrose (grown from cuttings).

    Gardening in East Suffolk on dry sandy soil.

    A Linaria doing its little shop of horrors thing. This has a very buff stem, much bulkier than normal. I hope it will flower, will update if it does.

    There seems to be a lot around this year. I wonder if it was due to the weird weather/hailstorms damaging growing tips?

    Not sure if this is fasciation, but one stem of this rose bush has tiny pale flower heads with narrow stiff petals ( top pic). The normal bloom and bud is shown below.

    The narrow leaves look like weedkiller damage. I would prune that entire stem out back to where you get normal leaves.  Have you put fresh horse manure round the plant?
