Fascinated by Fasciation

  • loving looking at all the photos of the mutant plants. I think they are lovely. It was suggested I post some pics of my strange dahlia. I have now found 3 flowers which have grown 2 heads.

    I've cut all the affected stems off as lots of the flowers didn't open properly.

    Hi there, fascinated lovers of fasciation!

    My specimen of Senecio cineraria is almost totally growing fasciated stems (and, I think, it's dying).

    This was in late May at Norwell Nursery... I am not sure what it is though! Delphinium?

    This is the sort of tomato you get from a fasciated flower - a grotesque but tasty monster that weighs in at 9 oz.  There are a few more like this still green on the plants.

    I don't think so, although a few started by leavers have gone, such as the sweet pea thread and the vermiculture thread.
