Fascinated by Fasciation

    Certainly unusual. The leaves behind the flower are like the primulas that they call Jack in the green. They have a collar of leaves where sepals would normally be.

    I think that is the one called hens and chickens, where the central flower is surrounded by satellite flowers.

    One of my new begonia plants has 2 odd first flowers. Is this fasciation?

    Wow. That's one to keep as it dries out.  It will make a lovely xmas decoration, dried and sprayed with gold paint.
