Unfortunately, Ms. Jekyll has shown no sings of improvement. I contacted David Austin who have kindly offered to send a replacement which I have accepted. Now just awaiting confirmation as to when I should expect it image

Thanks Salino,  I think WS is a great colour but in DA's catalogue it doesnt mention it as a climber and also do you know what sort of thorns it has.  The reason I'm moving Gloriana is because the thorns keep catching me as I go through the arch and its growth is a bit stiff.  I do have a couple of clematis running through the roses.  The mortimer sackler has  a purple type 1 clematis (dont know the name) The gloriana has a Lincoln Star running through it. The other one I'm contemplating is Albrighton Rambler has anyone grown one yet.   I'm really impressed with everyone's photos and will get out and take some, hopefully tomorrow (just got back from having injections in my back so not very mobile today).  PS, thanks for the hello KEF.  BevG sorry about Ms Jekyll, every rose Ive had from DA has been great so I think its probably a one off and hopefully the next one will be as beautiful as one of the nations favourite roses should be.

Yviestevie - had you thought about St Swithun  - I think it would go beautifully with the other roses you have on the arch, and it's a superb climber image

Hi Yviestevie, thanks for your kind words. I had a feeling it was a one off. DA roses are fabulous and after confirmation from one of their customer service managers that they're sending a replacement, I am looking forward to enjoying it image

Hi Dovefromabove, Had a look at St Swithun and think it might be a goer, Ill pop over to DA and see it insitue, wont be moving Gloriana till the autumn as I want to give her the best chance of surviving the move.  Ill just have to put up with getting scratched to death every time I go up the garden, its a good job she has such a georgeous scent otherwise I might not be so patient.
