Are you asking me Rosemummy?? I have no idea, but I was going to ask the opposite of my red climber (Jazz something??), it has all the flowers at the top and none further down, I think I pruned it wrong
Can any of you lovely people identify this rose? All I know is that it is a Floribunda and it was in a mixed lot when I got it hence why I don't know what variety it is. It is driving me mad not knowing lol
..before I even take a guess at that one...I would need to see photos of...the whole bush...and a fully open flower...stamens and all... it looks more like a hybrid tea to me... I would also like to know where you bought it..?
This is the only bud that is starting to bloom on it, the rest are still green. I guess I am just being impatient and should wait until it's fully open lol
The whole plant is rather compact, it is currently chucking it down so I can't get a photo of it properly just yet but here is one from my window for now, although it is very poor quality.
..ok...all we can establish so far is that it's a hybrid tea not a floribunda...it's possible it could also be one of the smaller Austin English roses, which will narrow things down considerably...although at this stage I think not...it doesn't shout Austin, to me...
...I think it unlikely you will ever get a name for this unless it's an especially well known and easily recognisable variety... it's virtually impossible and would just result in wild guesses... so many of this type of rose are produced...it's different with older varieties, climbers and ramblers as there are less of them, and the usual ones keep doing the rounds everywhere.... still...if you can get some more photos in due course..also what kind of scent if any it has....thorns etc... we can take another look..
Yes I agree I don't think that it'd be an Austin rose. I shall keep you updated with it's progress in the same bundle of roses I got at the same time there were Wendy Cussons and a Rhapsody in Blue so hopefully it's well known like those two.
Just so you know I haven't forgotten about keeping you updated, the lovely mystery lady is taking her time unfurling but we're slowly getting there ...
Just thought I'd share a shot of my new rose bed- planted bare root last winter - mix of shrub roses and ground cover. Very chuffed for its first season and novice gardener! The petal drop is just from extremely heavy rain yesterday. Tied them in today and they seem to not have any ill effects from the hammering they got.

I didn't buy it, it was a 'gift'.
