Hi, Bex...having thought a little more about sowing your sweet pea seed, I think it would perhaps prudent to wait until the spring to sow them. Of course, if you have a cold-frame or similar (this by no means frost-free as they will tolerate many minus degrees of frost) you could still sow them in a couple of week's time.
I have a plastic greenhouse David? I'll do a few in there, and some in the house? Then save some until spring for direct sowing? All options covered. Doesn't hurt to try I suppose.
