    My experience trying to grow carrots has been pathetic. But Jess grew some carrots last year, didn't she.

    I can grow cress image (no soil required).You can have that in a sandwich too.

    Derek -don't think so-have been creating a roof space-where there shouldn't be oneimage

    Hope there are no viewings for 14 days-cant do anything till it rains to test for drips and let the insulation dry out

    Beck's! should be ok with three or four carrots in them recycled pots, n as Pam as said, mixed lettuce leaves would be great! image

    B'j! What about a photinia or a pieris "Forest Flame" although not totally red, it is a must have shrub! image

    Ouch, my intentions of not eating more today just been scuppered. Back muscle 'gone' again, so painkillers plus an egg custard should help....

    Photinias are nice. I wish I'd kept mine smaller, but it's got a lot of new shoots low down on main stem, so maybe, shall get treeman to remove the top one day. Since I only paid £4 for a poorly, potbound specimen, complete with powdery mildew, I dont grumble as it's now a glorious tree.
