Evening all - busy evening . Thought I'ld pop in to say hello. I see the theme is fancy dress tonight. I remember years ago I went to a student party and there was a guy there completely naked with a box of flash tied round his nether parts, and yes . you guessed he came as a flasher !
Lot to choose from, Becks. I can imagine Jess as a little Snow white.
Glad you all like the moth - I've been reading loads about the guy who takes the photos - he has a moth top ten.
Not sure Kate but I've been copying the photos for my laptop. There are some weird and wonderful ones. I'll find some more, I was reading about this guy on a.o.l. the other day because I do really like moths but there are loads of pics.
Quite a mix of topics today Fancy dress and the lovely pics of moths and greenhouse plants. (I wish my greenhouse looked like that.)
The weather has been better up here today. My house is fine but the flood water has made travel rather tricky! Went to pick up my daughter from an after school club yesterrday and it was a bit of a magical mystery tour getting there and home with various roads closed. Traffic was bad with the A1 being closed and lorries having to divert too.
Moths are grossly neglected. There are a lot of them, in our own gardens, though we don't see them. Unless you do the stuff with lights and egg boxes. I suspect our moths might not be as photogenic as those two, which I guess are foreign ones.
A facinating evening's telly last night. I started with Food Hospital. It featured a fruitarian, someone who only eats fruit. He believes it's more chimpanzee like. Doctors showed he had week bones, and was consuming far too much sugar (which is in fruit). Needs to eat more nuts.
Then Who Do You Think You Are - Ken Roach. I don't watch Corrie so thought this would be boring. Quite the contrary. His granny was a leisure entrepreneur, involved with Alton Towers - a former stately home - that was fascinating, and also with Blackpool pleasure beach. His granddad had a quack medicine shop on the promenade. Patients had to hold two electric terminals. The volts running through the body could cure most things. Blackpool then banned a whole load of practices - including palmistry. I was there some years ago and the place was full of palmists.
Then I caught Jon Snow's program about Ecstasy Live. The program was more entertainment, than science, but quite fascinating in it's own way.
I love the Luna moth - I would love to see a Moth of the Day
I didn't feel too well yesterday so didn't do a lot - feel a bit better this morning so may go and trim up some Fuchsias ready for them to go in the greenhouse
Hope you are all feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed on this lovely morning, wall to wall blue sky here.
Got a very busy day ahead. We are stripping out the greenhouse ready to give it a good clean, didn't get done properly last year as OH had both his knee joints replace within 6 months, so things got a bit neglected. Then the cold frame. Went to check the caravan this morning and OH has turned it into temporary GH.
Have a good day, will check in later to see how you are doing.

Once again great pics. I might get round to posting some myself later.
Mornin all , Lovely photo Pam, as always, I have a fine selection of desktop photos now Glad you're feeling better.
Hope the roads are better todaylooo Nola. Very grey here today but no rain which is a bonus.
Gary. I know so many people who are terrified of moths and bats too , yet the same people love butterflies ??? The two pictures are moths from America . The most exotic one I've ever seen was a humming bird hawk moth feeding on the honeysuckle a few years back but I'm sure there are others.
