Just had a grumble on MOB. Well it makes me so cross when they say it's genetic - weight image

I have to wear trainers - doctors orders so am beginning to hate them - even when I go out dressed up what' s on my feet - trainersimage

Oh, Bjay, that's awful for you - dress up clothes and trainers.image  Have to be sweep-the-floor dresses and trousers to cover them up. A friend of mine wore white furry slippers the whole of her wedding day apart from the walk up annd down the aisle.

Sue, I did a very similar thing when I was a child - my Dad had just sharpened all the kitchen knives!

Bjay, what about those flat sandal - type shoes that you can buy ? They have velcro strips on them to fit the width of your foot.

Aww I have been wearing with ortho insoles as sciatic back pain ended up plantar fasciitis in foot , so been in trainers a while, can swap insoles about now to boots or wellies... As for summer ...hmmmm

Haven't had bacon buttie for ages, just waiting for bread machine to beep ...1 min to go image , got nettles almost out ...

    BEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEP mmmmmmmm
  • Ok have caught up on all the posts. Sue -ouch! Poor you, hope it mends quickly.

I'm a trainers girl - actually most of the time I wear walking shoes. Never wear heels. I've got some of those sandals, they're very comfortable.

Damp and miserable here, so am not going out. Might spend my lunch hour doing some more research.

trousers all the time. Can't wear walking boots - I have a lovely pair - the brace won't fit into them. I have a pair of slip of flat sandals with a suitably built up insole for really hot and light weight cushion brace bit that won't fit into trainers urgh! Go round in circles - , and will have to wait for April to see what else can be done.image

Just opened the 2 begonia corms from Wilko and they are really good, firm and large and can see lots of little budsimage

I get plantar fasciitis too, but not all the time. Thought is was genetic, brother and daughter have it. Pain in the neck (feet!) when sightseeing, feet start to burn. Have had troubles with burning where stirrup goes when riding. Has anyone tried Hotter shoes? Lovely soft soles. They don't all fit though, but my Hotter walking shoes are really great.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • One of the cubs had a really nice pair of Ecco boots that fitted me (he's 9!!) so I've told him to give them to me when he grows out of them!
