We're off to Spain, but I have no idea where, and have no intention of asking. My friend booked a private villa and asked us if we wanted to go along to make up numbers. I said yes, but now regret it. I hate the sun, and not one for holidays abroad, would much rather stay in the UK, but Jess will enjoy it, hopefully. Cost me £150 in passports before we even started! Money wasted. image And we go 2nd week of September. Still got my fingers crossed that it all falls through. image

Battered fish portions tonight, probably with chips and baked beans.

Then don't go-can you not have an unexpected attack of the lurgy-most of Spain is having a heat wave-if you don't like sun then Spain is to be avoidedimage

That is a nice 3 year old dinner btw

Have just watered -spotted something- neighbour cut the grass earlier for the third time this week -she has just hoovered up the clippingsimageimageimage

Jess is really excited though Geoff. Everytime a plane flies over she asks 'Is that the one we're going on?!' Was Ok until she started asking the same when she saw handgliders!! image

How long are you going for-looks like you are going to have to take one for the team-so no idea of flight times, airport etc?

Haven't a clue. She muttered something about stopping at hers on the Friday night as it's an early flight on the Saturday morning. That's about all I know. They both work for a taxi company, so transport to and fro airport is sorted. I think. image

hi all - manic here . Hubbie decorating kitchen all contents in living room - driving me nuts. New fence getting erected tomorrow so moved a lot of pots and I'm fretting over my plants . I have a feeling a lot will be trampled on.

Advice please - when we first moved in here there was nothing built at the back of our property so we had to buy the fencing. Now our fence runs along the 2 other houses at the back of us and we will be calling round to tell them later that we are replacing 5 panels . Is it still our responsibility to pay  (which we are) but as the other 2 gardens will be getting the benefit can we expect them to chip in or what ? Hubby says it's down to us . I haven't a clue .

Becks-you will once you get there-all those Brits moaning about how hot it is and complaining that "they" should speak English-it will be edukachineel for young Jess

Jean -boundaries are a nightmare-if you are responsible then it is down to you-out of goodwill they might chip in but if not you are stuck-you do know they they can't do anything to your fence without your say-so?

No I didn't - maybe they will be nice but don't know them at all . Guess thats the best we can hope for . If it was me getting a free fence I'ld share the bill but in these frugal times they may just say ''Thanks very much '' !  Hubby seems to think because we installed it it's down to us.  Think it only fair to warn them though but they are not gardeners - no plants just a few straggly shrubs in pots and the grass gets cut every Preston Guild . Going round to see them now so we'll see what happens  Be back soon.
