Here's one that has been puzzling me, as have all of them, I'd been googling for about a week now with no luck then coming on this forum and you've all helped so much so quickly!
No 6....Just the bark I'm afraid, it's about five feet tall, and a kind of winged bark.
Yes, I thought that might be the case. I'm hoping through finding out about all these plants, I will be able to avoid mistakes like that. I love Hydrangea, I have one that I put in late last year and am wondering if I should just leave it to do it's thing for now.
No 7.... This beautiful looking thing, just started to come to life. I came across a similar picture which said chaenomeles japonica but not sure if it is....
Thank you nutcutlet, this was another one hidden by that same bush, it had barely any leaves on it but just before winter kicked in had bright (light) green leaves on it.

Just googling euonymus, spindles
and after that google Chaenomeles for the pretty red flowered one. Which I am envious of because they don't do for me

Yep, picture no 7. looks like Chaenomeles to me.
Ah good! Thank you Chaenomeles, it's beautiful, will have to try and nurture this one, it was hidden under a massive shrub which had taken over.
The euonymus is likely to be this one

or this one
