Charlie thanks for the ideas - like No expert said we like to recycle and it is all about the challenge of trying to make a pallet into something completely different
In last pic coldframe lid is propped up under the peach tree branch just for temporary getting bits in then and taking photo - not normally going to do that, it was just in the right place
Will be venting it so not to get to hot in there (summertime) or condensation
I buy timber for some jobs, but I also have had a supply of pallets coming to the house, last year it was topsoil and clay for the pond we had delivered on pallets and next up is some paving. I would rather find a use for the pallets than throw them in a skip, they fill up an expensive skip all too easily. The last five I had were simple enough to use up, we needed a bug hotel. Next lot I'm inspired by your work to be a bit more creative with.
Wow im so impressed with all the projects! They are amazing!
We are using pallets to make a fence but leaving them as they are as I want to line the backs to out strawberries and herbs in but we don't know how to attach the pallets to each other, I will try and find a link.
Stagbattle not sure how you connect pallets , somebody at our A has done a fence out of them , I am going on Holiday next week until 10 th March , might bo to late but next time at the A will take picture for you
Also A next to mine had done vertical planting of strawberrys in pallets looks really impressive will also take pic for you
Hi, I was going to make a vertical strawberry planter from a pallet, there isn't any markings on it to say how it was treated so I thought it was safe to use but I've just read on a link on here to avoid unmarked pallets. Had I better get rid of it? I don't like the idea that it could be treated with toxic chemicals, I've stained it with fence paint. I've read that every pallet has to b treated with chemicals or heat, does anyone on here use the pallets that have been treated with chemicals?

Gardengirl thank for site info , been having a look most impressed with your cold frame
Last time I took a pallet apart all it was good for was fire wood , probably a bit heavy handed , unless there is a Nack ?

Stagbeetle great link - maybe with long screws or nails to join them together or fence posts bits in between
or you could ask Baza he put them up as fences http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/garden-design/work-in-progress/551441.html
GWRS not really a knack just hammer and crow bar and lots of bashing
